Team History

We are F.I.R.S.T. Robotics Competition (FRC) team 4013 Clockwork Mania. Clockwork Mania is a school-based team from Orlando Science Schools in Orlando, Florida. Our team began as a small group of 7 middle schoolers in 2012 and has grown significantly since then. Currently, our robotics family consists of 35 high school students. In our years of being a team, we have attended World Championships 7 times. We also participate in F.I.R.S.T. Tech Challenge (FTC) as 2 separate teams with 15 students each: 5070 N.U.T.S. and 6379 Clockwork Mania. By working on this from September to January, we train our rookie members with the skills they need to be prepared for the intensity of FRC season. Since 4013 Clockwork Mania’s inception, we have adopted a Steampunk theme, which is incorporated into our apparel, pit design, and robot. We aim to recreate a Victorian Era that features steam-powered machinery rather than modern technology.
